      Finally did it

After all my failed attempts, I finally did a proper WILD yesterday (by 'proper' I mean maintaining awarness the whole time). But I noticed that when I did it, even though I was keeping my awareness up for the entire attempt, it wasn't a very high level of awareness. I knew that I was attempting a WILD and that I had to stay slightly awake, but it wasn't much more than that. It was only when I reached SP that I became fully aware, and I was able to think clearly. So was I doing it right? Sorry if that's not specific enough, but I'm just trying to get an idea of what I'm doing right/what I need to fix etc.

      Seems legit.

That's pretty much how most of my WILDs go these days. Just enough awareness to get to the end, with a sudden, uncontrolled burst right before the fun starts.

      Nice job. =)

Cool, thanks. So it doesn't matter if it isn't a high level of awareness?

It sounds like you were doing just fine. Awareness is a skill you have to work on. It's still a WILD as long as you are aware that you are transitioning to the dreaming state or that you're dreaming. You may not remember your goals or you may get sucked into weird dream logic, but those are normal for beginners, so don't worry. Congrats on your WILD and keep practicing!

The slightes splur of awareness is all that's needed apparently. I go about it the same as you, I'll be "Ok relax, think of this or that, it's nice, it helps you fall asleep, but not too deeply, like a daydream.. .. ..Whoops, vibrations! Relax. I am becoming a dreamer.. two waves of vibrations. Almost there. I'm entering the dream. 3rd wave of vibrations. I wonder if I'm dreaming yet? *move hand* ..okidoki. Let's dream " and sure enough, I'll be dreaming by that time ^^

      So my awareness curve:
      Beginning: HIGH
During relaxation: Ever so subtly present
      SP kicks in: HIGH
      During SP: Medium

      WILD vibrations

So I'm new to LD as well, I've been attempting LD's for about 2 months and have had limited success with the WILD and WILD + WBTB.

When transitioning I find myself flinching...for example im riding a motocross and I take a jump, that makes me flinch and so I am not reaching SP.

My question is for Misslucky, what did you mean by vibrations in your last post?

Whoops, vibrations! Relax. I am becoming a dreamer.. two waves of vibrations. Almost there. I'm entering the dream. 3rd wave of vibrations

Is this a trick you use?

I mean the vibrations I feel when I'm in SP. It's different for everyone, though most people experience them from what I can tell. First your limbs start to slightly vibrate, then become numb and then your whole body vibrates really hard, almost violently. It's not like twitching or spasms, because you're in sleep *paralysis*, meaning you're paralyzed and can't physically move.

I just do something with them in my mind, to keep it awake, lest I just fall asleep and miss the oportunity
