noises and visuals when trying to WILD (not sleep paralysis)

Well when i begin to WILD i relax myself, don't let any thoughts enter my mind and try not to focus on it too hard unless i can't. but whenever i try to WILD i would sometimes visualize (not focusing on it) some stuff happening but still be aware of my surroundings.

Most commonly i always either hear a strange sound like a whoosh, or a sigh or breathing, mostly air sounds, OR i might visualize something and i accidently focus on it to hard. Most of the time it'll knock me off balance and make me conscious (not the "i'm falling!!!" type of visual .

Some questions, I've only heard of hearing or seeing visuals while in sleep paralysis. What are these noises? Why do i hear them when i'm not in sleep paralysis. How do i divert my attention to something else without focusing on it too hard.

EDIT: I don't feel anything numb nor does my head spin or heart race, just feels like drifting off.

It's just HH, or hypnagogic hallucinations; these things are known to occur as your progress through N1 sleep.

Now, the term SP is tossed around here a lot, typically in reference to the experiences a person can have as they make a WILD attempt. Contrary to popular belief, you aren't actually going to be paralyzed until you hit REM and REM atonia kicks in.

By the time you hit REM, however, you should already have made the transition into the dream. As such, expecting your body to become completely paralyzed when you make a standard WILD attempt is an absolutely silly idea that's the direct result of the perpetuation of misinformation and confusing terms by the majority of the LDing community.

tl;dr Don't expect to be paralyzed when you experience HH. You've been misinformed.
