Since 10-7:30 is 9.5hrs it should be fine he's getting up that early. I would suggest 4:30-5:30. I normally set my wbtb alarm 2hrs before I have to wake up and do a 10min or so wbtb. But you should just experiment. You have to find out for yourself what the best time for you is. |

Trying to lucid dream always carries the risk of messing up your sleep cycles. Now, if you can sleep in late that day it doesn't matter because you can afford to just stay in bed until you're ready to wake up. But if you have to get up at a specific time, then you run the risk of shifting your cycles so that instead of waking up refreshed, you wake up totally tired. This can ruin your energy levels for the rest of the day. |

He's getting ~9.5hrs minus 10-30minutes for a WBTB and that's still 9 hours of sleep. That's plenty. |

I know I've had WBTB attempts where I was unable to get back to sleep at all, therefore losing 2 or 3 hours' sleep. |

If your not afraid to lose a few hours of sleep, then maybe try waking up at 5:30 AM. |
