I can't wait to hear responses... I haven't yet experienced SP but it is what makes me most apprehensive about taking GalantaMind.. lol |

I know it sounds odd since if you've ever experienced SP even once you know how freaking scary it is, but I've had it happen to me quite a lot in the last year or two since i began trying to practice lucid dreaming. It frightened me a lot, but i finally calmed myself down and realized that once i was having SP it was actually very easy to shift over into the lucid dream so now whenever i experience SP i get excited because i know that I've pretty much reached my goal of reaching lucidity. |

I love it! It's cool as hell simply because to me it shows just how powerful the mind can be. Even knowing all of the miracles of the mind, experiencing one, even if it's small, still brings it all into perspective. And it also lets me know that what's coming next is going to be kick ass. Even nightmares with me are amazing just because it's a whole new experience. |

In my case, SP = LD 100% of the time. Most of the time I am paralized and feel that someone is pushing me againsta the bed. I can not move may hands but I can move my head and mouth. Some times I have tried to bite that entity with no result. I all cases I have not been able to see that entity, but I can feel it and hear it when sometime it whispered on my ears. The voice is raspy but to tell you the true I do not feel any fear. Sudenly I begin to levitate am my body is virtually taken away from my bed. At this moment and can see my room but averything is blurred. I try some times to grasp the frame of the door but I only can detain my body for a while because that entity is stronger than me, I always end up outside of the house, sometimes in front and sometimes in the back. Once outside ( and it is always the same way) I gain strength and become stronger that that entity which has different forms. Some time is a disfigured person, sometimes is like a snake. I am always able to smash it against a wall or the floor and after that they dissapear or transform into something totally different, a mouse, a chicken etc. 2 years ago more or less my sleep paralisis were similar, except for the fact that I was dragged throughout iles with dead people to both sides , and heard voices with did not cause any fear because I always knew for sure that I was dreaming. |

Wow, I would have found that sort of creepy. |

Question: I've never had or experienced sleep paralysis. I've only recently begun having lucid dreams (four in the last 2 months) so I'm wondering at what point does a person start experiencing it? Or is it different for each person? |
|
The only way (almost, that is) to have SP is to have it intentionally, when you try to WILD. You won't just get it because you lucid dream, although some people say they get it when waking up from a lucid now and then. However, that's never happened to me. |
|
Yes, I find SP quite exciting... Well, maybe not so much "exciting" as fascinating, but I still do get pretty excited when I'm in it. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

When I experienced it once (not sure if it was an accidental WILD, can't recreate it). I didn't see HI but it felt pretty cool if you ask me. Like I felt like I was moving my arms, almost in a swimming motion, I still had control of that feeling. So I could like make my arms go up and down if I wanted to. It just felt... choppy, that's the only word I can describe it with and even then that doesn't quiet describe it correctly. |

I have never seen sleep paralysis hallucinations before, but im acctually really intereseted in what i will see. After all, it will be only as scary as you think it will be, right? |

LD Goals ---
[X] Have a long LD --- [ ] Skydive with no parachute --- [ ] Win the Indy 500 - On Mars --- [ ] Save the earth from UFOs --- [ ] Kick a bowling ball to the moon ---
[ ] Write a song I can play in real life --- [ ] Witness the destruction of the Solar System via the sun exploding
I don't believe SP hallucinations are that much like dreams, where your emotions and expectations will directly influence the outcome of what happens, or what you will see. But regardless, mentality is definitely a large part of SP, because it's critical not to get worked up about the hallucinations. Good luck with the SP and be sure to let us know what you experience! |

Two years later, I'm back. LUCID COUNT RESET, HERE WE GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-
In the beginning it would suck, but it turned out to to be quite the enjoyable trip. When I was completely new to LD'ing and WILD, i would get to the SP stage and always fail to transition becase I was either too excited/scared etc. Now when I get it, I remain calm, think of it as something thats no big deal and am usually quite successful in transitioning into the LD. The transition always happens within a few minutes of SP, and I always feel and hear vibrations as well as my body shape/position changes on the bed, sometimes I feel like I;m floating above my bed, othertimes I feel like im running through a dark void. I have heard voices before, and they weere all voices of family members. |
