Want to try WILD now. Some questions..

I've had some success with DILDs (Had two lucid dreams)
But the dreams where not as lucid as I wanted them to be and I generally feel that it's not the right technique for me. From the start I've thought the WILD technique to be right up my alley and I want to focus on that from now on. But I have to get something off my mind.

1: I know you can experience scary things during SP, like seeing things and hearing voices etc. That isn't worrying me so much, because I know what it is and I'm thinking about it more like a good thing because it shows the technique is working. (I have come to the point where my body feels weird and I've heard some loud noises etc. and that has not scared me)
But the tought of one thing scares the crap out of me and that is one thing I once read on this site. (Couldn't find the thread now offcourse) And that is that ghosts and demons can contact you when you're in SP. That they can use your wounerable state to possess you.
I do believe in ghosts and demons (Not very much, but enough to scare me)
Can someone please just tell me this is bullshit and let me continue my WILDing without this stupid fear. (My thought is that if I'm afraid of seeing demons thats EXACTLY what I am going to see. So I have to know that this is not the case and my fears will probably go away.)

2: I think WILDing while napping can work very weel for me in addition to the regular way. (The few times I have managed to nap, I have very strong signs of entering SP)
But I rarely nap during the day. I am always very restless. So my thought was to begin exercising in the afternoon and taking a nap when I come home after taking a shower. My idea is: then I would be pretty awake but my body will be very tired. Isn't that a good state to be in when trying to WILD?

Hoping to get many answers by experienced lucid dreamers who are WILDing without getting possesed..

hey ;D,just started getting back to lucid dreaming again and family members have told me the same thing lol*cousins, maybe my bro too* but didnt stop me about 1 and 1/2 years ago,my first ones scared the shit out of me.*wont go into details* but when u start getting wilds and passing that point....after some practice, youll start wilding almost everytime. i was having up to 3-4 wilds a night for about 4-5 times a week..was insane but then i stopped for awhile*took about 2 months to break my habit of going into wilds*

BUT!! yes it can be very scary, but that only depends on how you see it.i would always get like a mini adrenaline rush*heart was beating MAD FAST!* while hearing the stuff but most of the time it wasn't scary at all...i was starting to enjoy the feelings i would get.also once it felt like i was falling down, shifting side to side*imagine the way a paper falls down floating left to right* then everything started to shake lol,it felt awesome.earthquake was my first thought haha

i could uv wild last night but backed out !! haven't done it in around 1 year so wasn't sure how id take it.lol only 1 way to find out..hopefully i get it tonight again

and NO!! you wont be possessed man lol.Once you get used to it,youll notice how amazing how vividly the sounds and feelings you get are & will grow to enjoy it more and more. But if your terrified in any way of doing it.dont go for it and stick with dilds

      1. From my experience, I haven't grabbed a lucid from a WILD attempt, but I have gotten into the hypanagogic imagery a lot. I only see a green colored circle imploding over and over again. If from what I have heard is true, whatever you think will happen, will (within reason. You won't be possesed. It is BS.). But if you want to scare yourself, visualise yourself from your eyes and imagine them. All in all, don't scare yourself if you don't want to

      2. Whatever you do, don't do exercise before a WILD. It will slam you straight into sleep without dreams, it happened to me before. Just showering then trying after finishing up all you have to do for the day will work.

By the way... how did you get to SP? I usually get to very very light sleep paralysis.

      Thank you for your answers
My fears are getting smaller by the day and I think I'm soon ready for a serious attempt.

One more thing: Can I avoid visual hallucinations by simply keeping my eyes shut?

MBA42: I really don't know if it was SP, because I could move right after I heard the sound. (Maby I snapped out of it) But I got to that point by laying in a comfortable position (On my stomach with one arm under my head) and just focus on my breathing with an empty mind.

You can't avoid the hallucinations. In fact, eyes closed will make your hallucinations more intense.

It could have been, I'm really not sure. I haven't gotten to anything past feeling numb after laying down for a while. Thanks for the input, I always forget a WILD can be done in any practical sleeping position.
