My Experiences of WILDing and in Particular a strong Dream sign

      Hi there,

Not long ago, I was introduced into the world of Lucid dreaming by a good friend of mine. After we had discussed Lucid dreaming for a while, I looked into WILDing (He uses the MILD technique) and I found that I really enjoyed the challenge of reaching sleep paralysis and 'entering a dream.'

I found with controlled breathing which I learnt through golf relaxation techniques and through a counting technique (Again, proposed by my friend) I was able to embrace the Hypnagogic Imagery / Audio rather than be frightened of it (Though it does sometimes still scare me a bit!)

Now this is where the point of my story comes in. I recently have been restoring two antique Czech Field telephones and the noise of them both ringing occurs EVERY time during the Hypnagocic Imagery / audio stage. I have had 5 successful (However brief due to snapping out) Lucid dreams in a 4 week period and each time the telephones ring. This is clearly a very strong dream sign which I now associate with the transitional phase.

Does anybody else have any similar re - occuring images / noises during transition?

And secondly (Directed at more experiences WILDer's than myself) Will they remain a strong dream sign for the future? (As a point of reference)

      Thanks for your time

Ooh a Czech Field telephone? haha I'm Czech so I always get excited over any references to my country XD

Anyways to your questions. Yes, I do have a dream sign that I associate with the transitional phase. It is not an auditory hallucination, but whenever the moment of transition occurs, I feel a very quick weight on my head. That's always how I know I transitioned into a dream, helpful because I always start the dream with a FA. I've only had 2 successful WILDs that I stayed in for a period of time, and 2 others that I woke up from too soon within almost two weeks of practice, so I can't say I'm a more experienced WILDer, but I sure hope that dream sign continues! Good luck!
