      Can't get past a certain point in WILD

      I've tried the Wild technique several times over the past week (in afternoon naps, middle of night, even tried binaural beats and WBTB) the farthest i've ever been able to get is the point where my arms are numb and i can't tell which side of my body they're on. However at this point i've gone half an hour without noticing any other differences, do u guys have any idea what i might be doing wrong or anything i could try to make it more successful, any tips or pointers would be appreciated, thanks

      The idea is that you should try to fall asleep, only remain conscious. If you focus too much on what you feel, hear and see. You'll most likely not get very far. Be a passive observer and don't pay much attention to what you see. I suggest you try it for a while more, I'm sure someone in here who's a more experienced WILD'er can give you more tips. If you still can't get it right, make sure you check out the other techniques, mainly DILD or MILD. They're just as effective when practiced.

      Also, it can take weeks sometimes months for people to have their first LD. If you're an impatient person, you might want to prepare for a few fails before you finally succeed. But everyone can have a lucid dream.
