Before going to bed I use this mantra "I will wake up during a dream" and I seem to remember atleast 5 dreams a night and I can WILD alot more. Just telling you guys this if you haven't heard of using this mantra because It helped me alot
Could you explain in more detail how this helped you? What was the exact effect of it?
Are you sure you are WILDing, thats wake induced, hence you go in from being awake, you sound like you are describing DILDs or DEILDs to me.
No. I use the mantra "I will wake up during a dream" and when I dream after a bit I wake up then I can WILD in less than a few minutes without moving once
Hi Doareality check..woah long name lol...Ok I think I know where your coming from..I get what I would call a WILD but some on here say its DEILD but I disagree..all my life it has happened..I will wake in the night...fully awake, sometimes go to loo or sometimes just lie there when I wake i then after about 5 seconds get a throbbing in my head and think right here we go..at the same time as the throbbing I also get the "swooshing" noise..I know I am awake and not asleep..an experienced lucid dreamer can tell the difference...this has also happened to me before even sleeping!! Anyway I think to myself "here we go" and i go into a lucid from a waking state..this is definatly WILD if it was a DILD then I would be going into a lucid from maybe a FA or another dream..So yes you are doing a WILD in my opinion, from wake to lucid in a few seconds, I do also..well done on your lucids. I don't use a Mantra all the time..mine just happen most of the time and I have found that using a mantra tends to cause me to fail..I think if you do it naturally like I do then why try harder as it slows it and stops your lucids :)
8 times in one night??!! damn thats pretty good
I ve done it 6 times in a night before but never 8 but if he does it like I do im sure it would be possible :)
If you woke up from a dream without moving, then went into another dream within a few minutes, that's called a DEILD. It's a variation of WILD, but the full WILD itself would take longer than just a couple moments to do. :) Congrats on the DEILD chain!
Oh, well I did them all the way I normaly WILD. Ever since I started using that mantra I always wake up from a dreaming state so it works for me :)
How do you normally WILD?
The way you normally WILD may in fact be DEILDing :)
Maybe. I'm unfamiliar with how DEILDs work. I just wake up while in a REM cycle and lay still and wait for SP. I don't think in DEILDs you go into SP while awake? When waking up from a dreaming state it takes me no time at all to hit SP again
Well sometimes I'll go use the restroom or drink some water or even just sit up to check the time. I can't WILD if I get out of bed for more than a few minutes. And it usualy only takes about 10 minutes max to hi SP. I haven't even tried a DEILD but I will soon
That's what I was thinking...
What movie is that gif in your signature from, Puffin? :)
Right Puffin let me ask you this..I wake from my dream then i move about and am awake , open my eyes look around my bedroom etc, sometimes get a drink or use the loo..but on the times when i wake from a dream I stay in bed move and get comfy again and check what time it is, i then lie down again and in within about 2 seconds i get the head throbbing and the "swooshing" noise, i know i am going into SP then and will go from there into a lucid, this cannot be DEILD as I move, i check time etc so it must to me be a WILD after waking and being awake for a short period of time like 3 minutes or so, my SP comes so quickly its like super fasdt and very unexpected :)
You're pro.
Please tell me how!!!! Are you a wizard?
ugh, I knew the acronym enforcement squad would show up
LOL..I guess I am then..I wasn't sure what to make of it..a WILD or DEILD..but from overlooking all aspects of it it comes to mind as WILD for me also. Sorry there aren't any tricks to it I'm afraid, It has always happened spontaniously for me since I was a child, it was scary when i didn't know what it was but now I do I'm not afraid no more and all the scary aspects have gone and I just flow with it to a lucid now..if I come across a way that may speed it up I'll let you know but as of yet, it's just Au Naturel LOL ..good luck guys :)
Yeah. If you move slightly even just to check the time it's a WILD and that's what me and Angie746 do
I tried "I will wake up during a dream" last night and had a MILD successfully, but when I realized that it was a dream I immediately woke up. I'm going to change the words to "I will explore during a dream" so I feel like Indiana Jones or some shit like that.
LOL Dildo.."Indiana Jones or some shit like that" ..ha ha, made me laugh that did :)
Glad you do the same as me doarealitycheck, Some people have said to me "no way , you can't WILD within a minute or so of waking up" and it's so annoying because actually I can, and now you can back me up on this :) Wander how many others on this site have the same??
Cool..yeah, i lkie hearing from peeps who do the same..yep I have done a one second too, wake up and wham the head throbs the buzzing and away i go..Sometimes i wake and sit up..my head feels sort of fuzzy so i lie back down and as soon as i shut my eyes i hear the swooshing noise, so i open them and it stops then i close them again and there it is again lol..i like to play with it sometimes but if i leave my eyes closed too long i go too far into it and cant wake from my lucid that i am conciously entering...but it can be fun playing with it lol :)
Was it a WILD or a DEILD silver?
Isn't saying a mantra a MILD? Or I'm not getting something. Either way congrats and I'll be sure to try this tonight.
Hey angie, I was wondering, how long do you think the average person needs to stay still until they enter SP and a WILD. I know for you its obviously much shorter, however I find that it can take me up to an hour or more of staying completely still until I finally start to transition. Also I was wondering what anyones thoughts are as you WILD'ing at night before actually going to sleep because for the last few days I have had a bad case of insomnia, last night took me 3 hours to fall asleep, so this night I am going to try to instead stay completely still and WILD.
The average could go from less than 5 minutes to maybe 30 minutes
@Angie; do you just wake spontaneously from dreams? That would go some way to explain your turbo WILDs, as you're entering straight into a REM cycle.
Yea like everyone else stated, it sounds like a DEILD if you dont move after the dream. Yay, I have just stated exactly the same thing everyone else has on here. What a useless post I just made.
Yeah I usually wake 3 or 4 times in a night, no alarm or nothing I just wake up, which would explain why I manage it as I do, sometimes look at clock and then try get back to sleep and wham..other times i get up with a fuzzy head, go to the loo or get a drink, then lie back down and the second i shut my eyes i get the noise etc, it is literally the minute my eyes close..liker i said i play with it sometimes lol i find it quite funny, :)
As Doarealitycheck says it usually takes from 5 mins to 30 mins but saying that everyone differs, i know some people who take longer than 30 mins but i would say if your lying there too long then may be best to leave it for that night as you will get frustrated and bored and your mind will start ticking about the thoughts of the day..the less frustrated the easier it is :)
I always wake up from a dreaming state atleast 4 times a night using the mantra "I will wake up during a dream". Makes WILD alot easier
Sounds great, you don't lose much sleep your way, maybe when I get the hang of WILDs I'll use auto suggestion to wake up :) How is the quality of the lucidity+control?
