      Was I close? Help!

      First off hello everyone I am new to the site and relatively new to ld'ing. I have had 3 DILDs in my life and 2 came in the past month which has encouraged me to try to gain increased control and frequency over my dreams.

      Recently I have decided to practice WILDing because I feel as though you can have more control and if you get good at it a really high frequency of lds.

      So last night I attempted my first WILD. I woke up 5 hours into my sleep naturaly (but I still had to turn my alarm off that was going to ring in 10 minutes) I turned on my back and focused clearing my mind. There were several issues that I kept having. First off when I focused really hard I frequently held my breath as well. Secondly my internal voice kept poping through. After 15 minutes I turned to my side and started seeding ideas. I had trouble with this at first (maybe I wasn"t calm enough yet?) but eventually I was able to get one. I watched it for awhile and was beginning to be lulled into it when I realized there was a loud buzzing in my ears and my entire body was tingling. I pulled myself out of the vision and focused as hard as I could on the sensation. Unfortunately i got excited and I felt my heartbeat pick up and my breathing got faster. I tried to control it but it must have woken me back up and the buzzing and tingleing faded away. How close was I to a WILD? Was that just the beginning stages or was I well on my way? Any advice on any parts of my attempt would be very helpful!

      Moved to the WILD forum.

      It sounds like you were on the right track. WILDing just takes practice. Work on staying calm when you start feeling/hearing things. Don't focus on the feelings too much if at all possible.
