So, after not trying to WILD in almost a year, I randomly attempted one in the middle of the day. I know, poor timing, especially when I haven't gotten past SP yet, but what's to lose.
I tried WILDing without anything, but there were people in my house moving around, cleaning, etc. It was bothersome, so I put in my headphones and played some Explosions in the Sky (it's instrumental, mostly ambient music).
I made much better progress this way, and got to a point where I couldn't feel my limbs and my head felt like it was inflating from the inside or something. I also felt like I was rolling over. I've heard so much about hallucinations that I was kind of scared, but if this is what I feel during SP, it's actually kind of enjoyable. I think I've broken down my "scared of sleep paralysis" phase. I think this was sleep paralysis, but I just kind of lost my grip on it and went back to numbness.
My question comes with the music. When I was in a state of numbness, I could hear my music loud and clear. When I started going into SP, however, the music significantly softened and felt suppressed. Eventually, I heard it but it was distant. Then I lost the feeling. I tried to "will" myself into a dream by repeating phrases etc in my head but that didn't work.
Do you think the music is preventing me from making the jump from SP into a dream?
