      You shouldn't need to. That's not how the transition works. When you start dreaming, your bodily awareness kind of fades away so you don't even have to think about that.

      It could be part of REM (Rapid Eye Movement) This happens to me all the time, just before I enter SP. I even start hearing the sounds and the HI tend to start forming shapes. I suggest an eye mask or if you don't have one, tie a scarf around your eyes, but make sure it prevents your eyes from opening, or at least puts pressure on them.
