How to hold on to what seems like a WILD?

      Hello!

Let me first say that I have never ever had a WILD before, and only one DILD.

Anyhow, lately I have been experiencing something that could seem like the start of a WILD almost every time I go to bed. I lay there for a little while, relaxed, dont move a muscle etc, when it happens.

What happens is that I see shapes and whatnot jump around in my (closed) eyes. Eventually they turn into something I could only describe as pictures, or a paused film. Everything looks 100% real, Its real life graphics to put it that way, everything is in place.

My problem however, is that when I try to hold on to this "picture" or whatever it might be, it drifts away. So how would I hold on to this, and eventually stable enough for me to start "roaming around" in there?

Any thoughts are appreciated, whether this is in fact a WILD thingie, or something completely else.

      Thank you.

Thiada, it sounds like what you're experiencing are the hallucinations, which can occur before or during the sleep paralysis stage of a WILD. I would recommend allowing yourself to relax, and don't focus too much on the hallucinations. It's hard to describe because I've only had one WILD, but you should try to just drift into the dream without trying to get there. Whatever you're feeling when you start to experience the hallucinations, feel it more and anchor yourself to what you can see/hear/etc and therefore the dream.

I always feel like if I'm not paying attention to HI I'm going to miss the window and just fall asleep. However, if I do pay attention, I'm in the same boat as the OP...it slips away.

Are you supposed to just trust that the moment will pop-up? Because when I try that, I just fall asleep.
