Lucid dreams since joining:

The hallucination during SP can sometimes be a bit frightening in general. It really doesn't matter if it is before sleep or during a WBTB. Just always keep in mind that these are only hallucinations and you cannot be harmed in any way. Just observe them as if you are watching a movie and don't think twice about the scary stuff. If something is too unpleasant, you can simply ignore it and it will soon go away. Congrats on your lucidity and good luck to you in the future. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask! |

Wait, what? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought SP was in the later stages of sleep? How can someone experience it first thing, when it doesn't start until at least 4 hours into the sleep cycle? |

I think it is wrong that people always mention WILDing would be impossible before sleeping. I think its far more easy when you slept already, but when you are tired enough or concentrate/meditate enough it is possible in fact. And I experienced some VERY scary SP's (after sleeping) and each time I was very glad that I had knowledge of these sensations from dv, otherwise it would really scare the shit out of me. i once saw a giant face coming from the ceiling and screaming at me, was damn freaky. But I think when you know about SP and that it can lead to lucid dreaming it is rather exciting in a positive way (for me at least). |
