Red face I believe I was close, need input. :)

I attempted a WILD about a week or so ago. This was my first real WILD attempt, since all the other times I just turned off my alarm and went straight to sleep.

So, I woke up around 2:30, I stretched a bit and read some forum posts on DV ( thank god for internet on phones.) Well after about 15 mins I felt like I should try and WILD, I was laying there for about a half an hour or so, and then my ears began to make some sort of buzzing noise and my body felt like it was being levitated and whipped all over the place, kinda like falling into an abyss. I felt like I was about to successfully WILD, but then my body began to go crazy and I became very excited. I ended up waking up, but now that I have gotten this far I believe it is just one more step and I'm into the dream scene

When those vibrations and loud noises begin, I usually try to focus on entering a dream, and I try to visualize my bedroom as vividly as possible. A few moments later when it "feels right", I just sit up with my dream body, and get out of bed. Sometimes I confirm through a RC if it's a dream, but usually with a WILD I don't need to do it.

When I am in SP I usually hear very loud buzzing noises, and feel vibrations and electrical shocks going throughout my body. I always feel my head vibrating strongly and banging against the pillow.

Just try breathing deeply and relax. Whatever things you hear/feel/see during SP, just keep telling yourself that it is all an illusion, and that your body is perfectly safe.

      Good luck.

Yah, I've always had trouble with excitement because whenever i feel like I'm getting close I just get a crazy adrenaline rush and it takes me out of SP. At some point I'll learn to control myself and allow the dream to engulf me.

Yikes. You should really seek to put a damper on that excitement. An overabundance of any emotion in that altered state of consciousness can snap you back into waking life. And right now it seems to be killing your chances of enjoying nightly lucids. I address many of these concerns and ways to go about entering into SP more easily in this thread.

Please check it out and let me know your thoughts. Thank you.

Yes, I have read that thread multiple times and I am saying I'm loving it! All of it has helped me get to where I am now, which is very close to a lucid. Ok, so last night I had another WILD attempt and it was weird. I was using King Yoshi's WILD technique, which is switching positions once you get the signal. I have to say I thought it wasn't going to work, however once again I got very close to a lucid... I think.

In the beginning of my attempt I layed there for about 12 mins with nothing happening so I switched positions. In that position nothing happened again, so i made a final position change. This is where it happened, I layed awake for about 20 mins, and I was thinking, "I guess it's not going to work tonight", and I just wanted to sleep, I dropped all of my conciousness it seemed, but I guess I didn't. About 5 minutes later I felt my physical hearing switch to my real time hearing or whatever it is and in my ears all I heard was one SUPER loud beat of my heart, then it seemed like I was rushing towards something, almost like a freight train right beside me. This happened multiple times because I gained too much conciousness and snapped out of it, but I fell right back into it, both times beginning with a super heart beat, I'm not even going to joke around it scared the shit out of me... Nothing much happened afterwards and I need input on this too... I believe I was close, but not 100% sure.
