i don't know if im doing it right...

hey i just tried to WILD during a nap, but i don't know if im close because i always get to a point where i feel like im above my body but just shaking around. It just goes on like that and i wait like that for 5-10 mins. then it stops so i try to move my foot, it moves perfectly fine. I don't know why i couldn't go into SP? i was laying still for 35 minutes!

Were you paying attention to the hypnotic imagery? If you were too focused on the task of going into SP, then going into the dream, you're never going to fall asleep. That's the goal, is to fall asleep, and you can't do that if you're too aware of what's going on, you need to go with the flow. Your consciousness anchor should be in the very back of your mind, you shouldn't be focusing on it though. Try to create a dream scene around you, imagine sights and smells.

If you were laying still for 35 minutes then you probably had to fight the urge to roll over a lot, right? That's going to cause a lot of discomfort. Remember, don't try to force it, just let your body fall asleep naturally, the way it always does. The only difference is that you have an anchor keeping you conscious. Don't resist the hypnotic imagery, embrace it; allow it to take you into sleep.

Stated Perfectly by Raphael. If I might add, before you get settled to lay still, answer your bodies needs. By this I mean, scratch whatever is itching, roll on your good side, get comfortable basically. Try doing whatever you would normally do before falling asleep on a regular night/nap, and just put as little attention or effort into staying away. Remember, mind awake, body asleep. Your mind is always working and awake while you sleep, but you just need to get a hold of it and stay conscious just enough to know that your trying to Lucid Dream. Try the archives on DreamViews with more information on Sleep Paralysis if you see it necessary.

I was not uncomfortable at all and I don't really think I was experiencing HI. I think the problem was I was too focused on getting into SP. I know the point us too fall asleep so it would probably work best for me to WBTB. It's hard for me to nap, I just don't wanna wait all day to WBTB. And one question is the shaking thing I said earlier HI? Cause it happens alot it seems normal to me.

Oh well if it's hard for you to nap, then there's the main problem Trying to attempt a WILD under those conditions is very difficult, a WBTB sounds like a better alternative. The shaking you experienced was a hallucination and is totally normal.
