      Nearly lucid?

So last night as I was attempting a WILD, I thought I was drifting into SP. I was trying to WILD at about half 3 in the morning, as I went to bed at about 10. I was lying there, completely relaxed, and as I am very impatient I gave up. So I rolled over and after about 10 minutes I started hearing this VERY loud whistling/vibrating noise in my head. My limbs started to feel groggy, so I realized that I was drifting into SP. I lay there and after about 5 seconds the noise stopped. After this I was left feeling not tierd or anything... Any ideas on what it might have been?

You were correct in assuming that SP was setting in. You may have gotten excited, been surprised, or simply started too much aggressive thinking. When SP set in, you have to continue to relax and don't over-think. This can cause you to wake up (break SP). SP sets in because you are starting to fall asleep even though you are conscious. You have to continue to allow yourself to fall asleep during this time. Nice job reaching SP, btw. I am much like you, I get impatient during the WILD process. That is why I developed/put together a WILD technique that resembles what you just did on accident. Actually, I found this technique exactly how you hit SP this time. I got impatient, rolled over, and hit SP a couple minutes later. You can check it out if you wish. It involves rolling over during the process (several times, if necessary). If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks yoshi! Yeah it was your technique that I used, very helpful, especially the relax all your muscles part! I'm going to try again tonight and hopefully I'll reach lucidity. How long does it take after you reach SP to become lucid?

Not that long, maybe around 10-15 seconds?

Alright thanks! Anything specific you should do to be transported to the dreamscape or will it just appear?

Nah, just allow all the HH/HI to form the dreamscape on its own. Full SP usually doesn't last too long, but I have been in it for several minutes before. Just relax and let the HI/HH do its thing.
