      is this hypnogogic imagery

      wll everytime i wildi see colors that arent very bight and kind of dark that look similar toif you close your eyes and rub your hands on your eyes except for more colorful and have weird shapes. i never see eal things just blotches of color and the brightest thig i ever saw was an extremely bright pink smoke cloud looking thing that was moving around is this hi

      In my limited experience, this is accompanied by HI. For example, out of the random blotches of color and swirling darkness you might see a tree, cloud, lamp, apple, etc.

      It does sound a lot like the beginnings of HI, but one thing I've noticed is that it seems way too many people put too much focus on HI. Basically, just be passive and let it happen. If you focus too much on "oh, is that HI?" then you risk losing your concentration and breaking the attempt. Let the dream form around you and you'll be fine
