New to WILDs
My friend was telling me about lucid dreams the other day and after hearing about them and doing some reading up, I've realized that over the 19 years in my life, I've had many dreams that I could fly in and/or control what I was doing , and it really makes me excited that their is actually a way of making it happen.
(I'm guessing when I was younger I was having DILDs because I would realize i was in a dream during the dream.)
Yesterday I did a lot of reading up so last night I tried my first WILD attempt, i did NOT do WBTB. I usually do not sleep on my back but I tried laying in my back, after about 10 minutes of watching my breathe, and trying to find my heartbeat (which i found worked really good for controlling itches) , I noticed vibrations and I started to see different colored lights overcoming the darkness, this being my first time I got really excited and disturbed myself and woke up. After waking I felt more "drained" I guess you could say and had a harder timing keeping focus and fell asleep.
I am planning on trying again tonight (and probably every night) and I was wondering if you guys have any tips!

Just try to stay calm and fall asleep.Don't think of it as wilding. If you focus on that you won't be able to fall asleep. Your just doing what your doing every night except this time your going to be conscious.

I was actually surprised how calm I was until I had vibrations, I usually can't stay motionless for 10-15 minutes without scratching but after reading posts about listening for your heartbeat and timing your breathes ( I didn't actually count numbers, I read somewhere that is too distracting) I didn't even scratch once. And if i felt even a little urge I would just clear my mind and look for my heartbeat again.

if you meditate, WILDing gets so much more easy because when you meditate you focus on one thing, when you wild you focus on one thing, and what you can do is say "1 im dreaming" or just say "Im dreaming" when you are transitioning into the dream state, you will know when your going into the dream. then make sure your dreaming, jump in the air and see if you float down. you just need to double check. rub your hands or if your not satisfied with the dream scence your in, spin and it will change (expect it too change where you want or just see where it takes you) I have finally done a WILD lastnight and I plan on doing it again, Meditate and good luck, its worth it.

This afternoon I gave my second attempt at WILD during a nap, and I must say it was a lot more successful. I wasn't sure at first how to describe what happened but then I did some more research. After about 10-15 minutes and some heavy pressure in my foot I thought I dozed off, then i noticed Hypnagogic Hallucinations (hh) and first I thought I was dreaming but it was just scenes changing fast, which I read is the creations of dreams. It only lasted what felt like 10 seconds but it was very internesting!!
