      Is this SP?

Recently I've been waking up to distant sounds but never actuually move. My body feels extremely heavy, likes it stuck in place. I can still consciously hear my fan and distant talking in my house though. Am I in SP? It feels the same as when I do a CANWILD and wake up because of a loud short alarm. When in this state, I can never consciously enter a dream. I lay there, feeling physically exhausted and wanting to sleep, but I either fall asleep or just move. How do I transition into a dream from them state of SP? How long does it take to reach the void state? When I'm in this state I am fully aware of my conscious surroundings (sound of fan, etc).

Yes it is. Sometimes you wake up in SP. I have experienced this two times, first time I remanied still and waited, but nothing happened and I ended up waking up.
Second time I tried to move but ended up moving my real body and waking up :p.

I think you are supposed to visualize a dream and then move into it, but im not sure..

To both of you, I can say with certainty this is definitely not SP

In SP, you cannot move your body. Even if you try to move your body, it should never move in SP. You should never have to visualize anything in SP. You will most likely halucinate during sleep paralysis by both seeing and hearing things that aren't there. There will most likely be a feeling of dread and a heavy weight on your chest. It's like a 'flip' in conciousness. You will definitely know when you are there, no question about it!

If you're just numb or feel heavy then you aren't there. If you feel like nothing's happening then you aren't there yet either.
