My first WILD seems different than anyone explained.

After months of trying to WILD, I had my first one. It was about ten in the morning and I had been laying in bed waiting for SP. I suddenly lost all feeling and orientation and was being sucked through a sort of wormhole thing into the dream world, flailing about and very much amazed at the experience. I began seeing dream scenes flashing by and suddenly I was in a basketball gym. Then I got over excited and woke up.

This WILD I had seemed like I had no control in going into the dream, and in the "wormhole" I was being thrown about violently. A lot of tutorials seem to be explaining a different scenario, one that is more calm and slow, rather than waiting until being flung into your dream.

Am I doing something wrong? What techniques are the easiest for you guys? I am puzzled. Any help is appreciated

      hmm that's interesting. it's like a violent transition o.o
when I had my first WILD, I didn't really experience transitioning. The dream kind of just faded in and I knew it was the beginning because it was really unstable so i touched everythin i could and continued on. I've never consciously experienced entering a dream, so i dont know what to tell you. sorry i couldn't help im sure someone else knows

My first LD was exactly like yours! I felt like I was being sucked through some kind of wormhole. It was an intense feeling. And it was amazing! I can't wait to experience this again. I am sure you are doing well. Heck you entered the dream. Congratz!

Honestly your experience is the totally ideal WILD unless someone actually can't handle tossing around in their consciousness. Sounds like your mind simply took the thought of a wake-induced lucid dream and made it a completely cliche experience. If you could make your method consistent you'd be set.
      good times

I had an unplanned OBE at night once falling asleep. I first heard strong winds blowing in my bedroom and then I felt my body spinning at high speed in all directions which was highly disorientating. I then found myself floating above a wooded valley with a wide river.

Please click on the links below, more techniques under investigation to come soon...

I definitely enjoyed the feeling of the transition. It helped me know I was in a dream. I've tried techniques that I read on this forum, but to not really any have worked. I do recall rolling over when uncomfortable a few times, then laying there, then it just happened. I had no hallucinations or noise in my head to tell me it would happen. It just hit me unexpectedly.

May I ask what your WILD technique is?

I've been experimenting. I get relaxed in whatever way I feel like doing, usually I just breathe deeply. Then say to myself over and over, I am dreaming, I am dreaming (in my head). Then I start seeing colors float around across my vision, sometimes I hear buzzing. I usually can't seem to get past colors and buzzing, but I have gone into SP a few times. From what I've read is that you end up in either a 3D "void" or your hallucinations start becoming more vivid, until your in a dream, but Thats nothing like what happened with me.

Had my second WILD last night. I woke up at four thirty. I sat in bed a few minutes and thought about my previous dreams, and then got to work on my WILD. This time it happened very quickly, probably because I was more tired. Suddenly I came out through the blackness, through the sky and floated down to the beach. This was the most stable and vivid lucid dream yet. This time I was calm and stabilized the dream. It lasted 20 to 30 minutes.

As I said, it all happened very quickly, all I was doing was trying to remember I would be dreaming. Then I ripped through the sky, no wormhole or anything, and was on the beach with no lapse in concienceness.

This thread is interesting to me. I too, seem to either experience a "wormhole" like effect... or I end up on the floor in my room out of my body before fading into a dream.

When you get the "wormhole" effect, does it feel like you're just... falling? The "holes" appear different, but they are almost always circular and tunnel like for me when I can see them.

20-30 minutes for your second lucid dream!? Tell us more about what you experienced! ESPECIALLY if you wound up on the beach!

The wormhole effect felt like I was being sucked somewhere at an insane speed. My limbs were flailing about the entire time. There were colors everywhere in a sort of tunnel.

With all that happened during the dream, it seemed like at least twenty minutes, but I really don't know. This was not my second lucid dream, but it was my second WILD. I used to have lucid dreams almost every other day in sixth grade.

This dream, I ended up ripping through the sky and floating down to the beach. I spent a few minutes near shore in the water, with a bunch of girls. Then I remembered I was going to find my friend Colin, to show him he was dreaming. At that point the tide came in really fast, so we all ran up to the rocky sandstone shore and began climbing up the rocks. I began slowing down, like I was in thick molasses, every one was passing me. I noticed how unstable the dream was and made a point to examine my hands and scenery before continuing. Then I was able to run. We all reach the top of the rocks.

People start partying and I yell to them all that we are dreaming. No body believes me and I try explaining to them about why we are. Then I decide to show Dustin that we are by jumping down off the 30 foot rocks onto the shore and landing right in front of his face. (The tide has gone back now) He is somewhat impressed. He walks all the way back to the top of the rocks and I just jump up. Then we begin talking and I see Marley.

I show her we are dreaming by doing the nasty for 5 or so minutes. Then everything fades. I stabilize the dream and resume another minute or two. Then everything really fades and all vision disappears. I come back after a few seconds and resume for another few minutes until my dad wakes me up.

It definitely felt 20+ minutes to me, but who knows, maybe my brain skipped details. Oh I was lucid from the start too.

Haha, as soon as I got involved in the nasty it was always hard to maintain stable dreams because it's hard to avoid the connection to the physical. Especially if you wind up...uh.... blowing a load in the girl's mouth, because it winds up blowing a load in your shorts. xD

Very nice dream man, thanks for sharing!

Well my OBE was the scariest thing i had ever felt.
I was dreaming of coming out of a submarine and then my family and i were running out of it. This man was chasing us and got a hold of me. He began to strangle me. I thought this is a dream I need to wake up. I thought I had because i saw my mom walk into a room perpendicular to mine and i could see my room the way it would be if i was awake. However i tried to scream for help because of my nightmare. I couldnt i felt pinned down and i felt paralyzed. Somehow eventually i woke up. I later read that it was an OBE i had no idea till a friend told me.
