Why did my WILD fail :( ?

Well i had my first WILD some day ago. What happend was that i slept for about 6 hours and woke up for school, then i ate breakfast etc. and 1 hour later i decided that i still had some time for school and took a nap. I was so tired that i just layed there perfectly still and i was thinking of school etc, and my thoughts started to feel like a dream, since i could see what i was thinking of but it was blurry. Now time passed and i suddenly felt like i opened my eyes while i was 100% im sleeping and i was standing in a dream about Stargate SG-1 (i've been watching it lately). So i thought, wtf im lucid dreaming!!111 and i thought "Go to space!" and suddenly i was in a place where everything was black around me and i thought " this isn't space, where are all the stars and blackholes etc.?" and suddenly i got this loud noise in my head like a generator thats going to explode making noise that hurt my head. So i paniced and said to myself "wake up!" and i couldn't! So in the dream i said "relax now, breath deep and slowly" and it worked, the noise disapeard. And that this point i did something stupid that i still wanted to wake up, and i told myself now i wake up! and the noise came again and pain. But i managed to wake up shocked.

Now im betting that the "noise and pain in my head" was the sleep paralysis that was doing it's thing. But what i don't understand is that why did it start to make noise and pain in the dream when i changed my location in the dream, i only tried to wake up after the noise came.

Pain as a rule isn't a good thing, but in a dream usually pain is just a phantom thing. It sounds like you lost control of the WILD and sort of freaked out, which can often lead to nightmarish situations such as yours. Next time, just try to go with the flow of the dream, even if you lose some amount of control, and then slowly build up control until you can control the dream entirely without things like this happening?? IDK, I'm not an expert but there's my two cents ^___^
