Hello,
Not a regular user but would like to come here more and so happy to find this thread dedicated to WILD.
Briefly: been practicing wild for 2 years, been successful, my very favourite way to lucid dream. First time I did it was after reading an excersise in Charlie Morley's book Dreams of Awakening, I used the Hypnogogic drop in and it was amazing. Kept using the same exercise for about 6 months until one night I rolled over and then experienced an OBE entry.
This has now become my habitual entry. I created my way of using my perceived bedroom window as my dream portal, and then will build the dream from there. But sometimes it is tricky to get out of the illusion of my immediate surroundings.
I now don't seem to be able to enter any other way then perceived OBE. I do this round twice a week.
Even if I stay on my back, don't roll and build HH I will still always end up in my dream bed, RC'ing, and 'getting up' out of my dream bed (accompanied by the usual sensations, sometimes have been v strong) and starting my lucid dream from the last place I remember. It's ok because I build my dream from there. But I miss experiencing that feeling of entering a dream directly (I mean I know I am entering a dream directly, but how to let go of the illusion of my physical remembered surroundings.)
I have come across ideas that might suggest what I experience is more akin to experiencing the astral body - but...hmmm...I am a bit sceptical about that I don't want to get tied up in more illusive ideas that might create more habitual structures in my practice...
I guess Im looking for more ways to be creative, and to see how this very fine conscious entry point is for others regular Wild'ers. Does anyone else experience OBE entries? Does your entry point depend on what system you use?
Thank you for reading!!
