I've posted some threads regarding WILDing advice, and now I need some more. (sadly )
I've attempted a WILD at least 30 times now. How many times does it usually take to have your first? All those times I've failed. Not seen HI, not been in SP, nothing.

Everyone says that patience and perseverance is key; I know they are but for some reason WILD is just not working for me.

Let me explain my typical WBTB.
On some nights when I think I won't wake up for a WBTB, I set my alarm. But usually I just wake up naturally.
After I've woken up I'll write down keywords of the previous dreams I've recalled. Then I'll go to the bathroom. Now, this is all I do (basically because it's hard for me to go back to sleep when I'm up for 30 minutes or so). I get back in bed, and try to get as comfortable as I can (starting on my back). Right now I'm experimenting with one of Billybob's techniques (breathe in, breathe out, 1; breathe in, breathe out, 2; etc.).
First, I flex my legs, hold them for one second; then I do the same with my arms; then my abdomen, and finally my chest. Then I lay there for a few seconds and try to think comfortable. Then I start the technique mentioned up above.
Usually, after I get to 300+ breath; I'm not "there" as Billybob describes. Usually I count till 400-700 without feeling SP or seeing HI or anything. By this time I have probably given up, rolled over and went to sleep; or I fell asleep during the WILD; or I count more (with usually no success). The highest I've gone is (if I remember) about 800-1000 breaths. I don't see why this isn't working for me.

Although; something may have happened yesterday. I took an afternoon nap to WILD. I did the same tech mentioned above. I lost awareness a couple of times. I'm not sure if I lost awareness or went to sleep or woke up; but I "came back to awareness" and a little pang of excitement rushed up through my chest. I don't know if it was SP, or if I was just imagining things.

One more thing. In every WILD, it seems like my SP gets nowhere. In a WILD that I counted about 500+ breaths in, all I feel is just numb, not really heavy. It's like that for about 200-300 more breaths. It's really frustrating.

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Everyone says to just be patient and eventually you will succeed, but this is getting frustrating.

Feedback would be much appreciated.
