Questions about DEILD'ing and SP
Alright, so my first question has something to do with my first DEILD attempts. After days and days of trying to create a custom alarm on my computer, I've finally made a peice of junk alarm that just barely functions well enough to DEILD with. So, two nights ago, I was sleeping on my back. To the sound of the alarm going off, I wake up, but don't open my eyes or move my body at all. I congratulate myself for getting this far, and think to myself, ok, all I have to do now is continue not moving, and I'll feel SP sweeping over me (at this point I've felt SP 3 times, all 3 never completed), and be lucid soon! Within 5 seconds of waking up and having these thoughts, I notice the urge to swallow. I think, ok, this can't be so bad. I mean, I can normally stop myself from swallowing for at least half a minute, so that'll be enough for me to complete the DEILD. After I say this to myself, I immediately swallow, against my own will. I figure to myself now, Shit, now it's over. Still convinced I MIGHT have a chance, I try again to not swallow, hoping that I can still DEILD, I am to no avail, as I soon swallow again. I now am mentally slapping myself in the face, and try to go back to sleep.
Does the urge to swallow always come when DEILD'ing? What are some tips/tricks to overcome this? I have ABSOLUTELY no problem not itching myself and not moving, but when it comes to swallowing, I just don't get it. ANY help is appreciated.
Also, I've got a question or two about WILD'ing during afternoon naps. Is it more common to succeed at WILDs during afternoon naps than when you go to bed at night? Once again, as soon as I haven't moved my body an inch, feel my limbs start to tingle just from being so still, they start to get heavy. I think to myself once again, ok, I could probably enter SP really soon if I just hold out a little bit longer. At this thought, I need to swallow again, and can't stop this urge for more than a few seconds. ANY help is greatly appreciated.
