      WILD help!

I just attempted a WILD after reading some tutorials. Nothing really happened, and I'm not sure I'm doing it right. Well, obviously I was doing it wrong, because I ended up sleeping for two and a half hours. With no recall, at that! Does anyone have any tips on how to WILD? Or maybe even know of a good tutorial, cuz I'm still not exactly sure what I'm supposed to be doing. Thanks!

Make sure you're pretty much totally rested so you aren't tired and fighting to stay conscious when you fall asleep. Like halfway through your day or so, go to your sofa and lay down, awake. No matter what position you lay down in, make sure you head is tilted at a downward angle so you don't get any drool running down the back of your throat(this way if you get a bunch it'll just go to the front of your mouth and/or out), eliminating the need to swallow. Set your timer for like two hours or whatever, I usually go with an hour and a half or two hours.

Stay still. Don't swallow or itch or roll around. Stay completely freaking still except for your eyes or breathing. Keep your eyes closed. Roll them back into their sockets, or wherever you usually put them to sleep, and keep them there as best you can. Breathe in, 'one', breathe out, 'I'm dreaming' breathe in, 'two', breathe out, 'I'm dreaming'. Let your breath come in and out naturally, don't force it like a choochoo train. If you notice you're starting to, ease up again.

Stay still, be patient and relax, and keep doing this for however long it takes for your body to start doing weird stuff like involuntarily jerking, twitching, feeling like you're falling. You're letting your body fall asleep while you stay conscious/awake. If your body doesn't fall asleep then you have no WILD. Don't stress the exactness of the counting too much, if you lose count, just pick up wherever and keep going. When you start to see swirly stars or stripes, purpletealblack HI stuff, just as though you were meditating, observe it. If/when you feel the 'sudden weight' or difficulty breathing you'll be in SP.
