Okay, I'm pretty new when it comes to WILD, I've only recently discovered it and I'm really interesting..
So the last few nights I've tried it, first i think I'll explain my sleep schedule, cuz its pretty messed up and im wondering if its the problem. I wake anywhere from 12-2:30pm and fall asleep around 3-4am, is this a problem? Im also wondering if me, trying as I'm going to sleep for the first time that night, meaning not using WBTB, could be the problem.
Anyway, so when I lay down around 3-4am, my intention is to enter WILD, I usually read on the subject to get me in the mood and give me motivation to WILD before hand. So I'll lay down, on my back, hands crossed on my chest, I close my eyes and relax my body the best I can. I usually then start a breathing pattern that I feel comfortable with, I.E. long calm breaths. I've recently started to focus on my breath entering through my nostrils and out again, and on the sound of my breathing, this gets me focused and relaxed.
After a while I begin to see what I think is HI, can kind of be explained as layers, in the back layer there's almost always a large faded dark yellow blob, this blob turns into a circle and expands til it disappears, then repeats constantly the same thing, the next layer are bluish lights, a little more defined than the previous layer, but smaller, these just sit there, then the nearest layer are brighter colors usually yellow/green/blue, they're very defined and sort of flash. Now that i think about it, these are obviously HI, but they're not very intense at all and it seems like they are hardly there, they seem to go away shortly. Also, my eyes start twitching, not just a random twitch now and then, like, full on constant twitching, nonstop, I don't fight it but sometimes its hard to keep my eyes closed, its also really distracting.
Around this time I feel my body seems almost faded, the only thing i can feel is my legs and where my hands are touching, I feel like I'm falling back into my bed like I've read alot of people do, I also hear a rather loud ringing, then i feel a heavy feeling in my legs like SP is coming on, half the time i focus on this feeling and try to feel it going up my legs and expanding, problem is, it doesnt expand, it either just stays there or disappears, either way I'm left in the dark (literally, the HI goes away at this time) and my body feels heavy, not the sort of SP heavy but just kind of heavy, sort of hard to explain, I stay like this for a while with no other sign of a transition or anything.
After a while of laying there with no sign of anything else happening, I decide I'm going to try and open my eyes and see if I'm actually dreaming or anything, everything is fuzzy and I still have the heaviness on me, but I can still move when I try, and once I do, the feeling goes away, I do some RC's and realize I'm not dreaming.. So I roll over and go to sleep.. Never had full SP or really any noticeable/intense HI.
Also, I have tried WBTB once, nothing special I just fell back asleep, I'll try both before bed and WBTB tonight and see if i get anywhere.
Also, swallowing is a problem for me, I'll salivate to the point where I have to swallow, its something i can't help and if i try to fight it, my body will do it for me, like its a reflex. Is this a problem?
Oh and also, I havent dreamed in a while or i dont remember, just thought i'd throw that it.
To make a long story short, I can't get to full SP and I can't seem to advance very far at all, what do you guys think? Any tips? its 3am now so sorry if I wasnt very detailed or something, just ask, please ask lol, I really want to experience WILD.
