Yes, that is a good choice—for general snapshots and family pictures, and convenience. What exactly will you be using it for, though? If you're the least bit serious about photography, I'd recommend something like the Nikon D40 or D60, or a Canon Rebel XTi or XSi, which are DSLRs.
I'd like those but they cost way too much....I can't get a job and it would take me almost two years to save up enough to buy one with the allowance I get.
well, i dont know if that seems like good value to you, but here where i live, if i change that to pounds roughly, my mum got a 10 megapixel camera for cheaper than that. but overall, im not sure, but im just guessing that that one is better than my mums. i dont know enough about cameras to say.
Megapixels are unimportant in the extreme, especially when dealing with point-and-shoot cameras like this.
