msconfig is the best way. Press Windows Key+R and type in 'msconfig' then press OK. You should get something like this:

(Make sure you are on the "startup" tab, as that&#39;s where you change these things).

This is the best way to get things to stop loading on startup - of course, there is the Startup folder in the start menu too you can take a look at. Simply check off the box of anything you no longer want to run; but make sure you leave on what is necessary for your computer to run (e.g. I would not check off "Windows"). You can see where I have stopped some programs I also dislike from running.

Next time you reboot msconfig will load again saying that it was used last time. Just uncheck the box that says "load msconfig on startup" and it will not appear anymore.
