Thread: System sounds aren't working

My laptop's speakers aren't working, they only work with headphones. I tried searching up some answers to this, most of them being to make them the default device, but they are. I tried enabling and disabling them, but with no luck. Can anyone help me with this? Also, it doesn't seem as though the core speakers aren't working in general, just its not outputting anything.

I'm currently running Windows 8.1.
