      Kindle

I am considering purchasing a Kindle to help me read more efficiently; 3 a month is the goal. My main draw to the device is the comfort it provides, as I read in bed - plus, the easy access to classic books I owe myself to read (many are free). I think it is well priced, but I would be disappointed if the technology was significantly upgraded quickly.

Anybody not bought one for a particular reason, despite liking the concept?

      thank you.

If you just plan on reading with it, I would say it'd be great. Much better than real books because ebooks are cheaper.

The only reason I haven't bought one is because I plan to buy an iPad for work soon, otherwise, I would certainly consider a Kindle.

I've got an older model (Kindle 2), and love it. It's gotten quite affordable.

If I find a good use for an iPad, I might get one, but really, I would never read a book on an ipad. My eyes would get tired after a while (assuming the battery doesn't run out).
