Future Task of the Month Suggestion Thread

Note from PercyLucid: No worries, thanks a ton for fixing it and especially for so many suggestions!!


Find a tv and turn it on. If it works, try to get the people on the screen to have a conversation with you. If not, try to find a logical solution (plug it in, turn it back on, etc) until it works.

Create an island! Describe what lives on it and where it is, and whether or not it's a safe place.

Convince DC's that there's an apocalypse going on, and describe their reactions (apocalypse of your choice :p)

Give birth! What you give birth to is up to you. Describe your new child :)

Try to buy something from a DC just by offering what you have in your pockets, then empty your pockets and give them the contents (just saying "i'll give you what i have in my pockets for your shoes, THEN see what's in your pocket :p)

Try to alterate the universe into being two dimensional.

Ever wanted to be an actor? Find a movie set and get the main role! Describe the plot and your role.

Grow a tree with nothing but a seed or an acorn. Describe how it looks when it grows.

Make an inanimate object able to move! Try to get it to go on a walk with you, describe DC's reaction.

Try to play a sport with a DC! Any sport is fine.

Go to your local pound in the dream and steal as many cute lil puppies as you can!!!

Rob a store, shoot somebody, do whatever it takes to be on a full-on police chase. Try to escape the police.

Become a cop and arrest random DC's and tell them the crime they "committed". Describe their reaction.

Grow a third arm! Is it easy to use? Try to complete everyday tasks with three arms now!

Start a rebellion! Get as many DC's as you can to support your cause, and start a full-scale uprising.

Become president, and pass as many dumb laws as you can. What do your citizens think?

Go to a school and be a guest speaker at an assembly. What is your presentation about? Do the students like it?

Teach a DC how to lucid dream!

Control a DC with just your mind. Extra points if you're able to switch to their point of view. (see through their eyes)

Go to a sketchy part of town. Describe your experiences with the DC's.

Have a dinner with your favorite actor, artist, and sports player. Do they get along? What do you talk about?

Try to shave! How does it work out?

Start a trend, and get all the DC's to do it.

Perform a concert with an artist of your choice! Were you good?

Climb the Empire State Building (or any tall building) with nothing but your hands. No lucid cheat powers! (flying, super jump.) You have to CLIMB.

Okay so this really isn't a task suggestion, but I have some thoughts. I really like the concept of having seasonal and holiday related tasks, but with this system it's kind of awkward. Maybe people can make seasonal/holiday suggestions and put at the end: (for October only) or (for Easter) or something like that? I'd like to know what you think Percy! :)

Yes, that is a great idea. We have had seasonal tasks in the past. I think this can work if people remember to post seasonal suggestions before the time for voting comes. We can add a little comment about this in the OP. :)

If you always dream in color, turn the dream black & white. If you dream in black & white, make the dream in colors.

look up at the night time sky and explain what you see

vistit a temple or church or religiouse/spiritual place ... sit down there and meditate or ask for guidance from the DC native in that place - how did it go?

Water bend ( see Avatar the last airbender for details )

Dive/fall into any body of water and let yourself be carried away by the strong current - explain the experience

For a good TOTM (January), Since it is winter, spawn Olaf, and give him a warm hug! :D I don't know what category that would go under, but who doesn't like warm hugs? Because Olaf loves them!

Basic task: create something edible and eat it. What did you create? What was the flavour, sensation, etc?

Advanced task: transform into an animal that you like, describe

Ask a DC what they dream about.

Bring someone from at least 200 years ago to the present. Describe how they react to the present day world.

Cry in a lucid dream.

Freeze the sun.

Get drunk or high.

Reverse time.

there was a "christmas carol" task where everyone got to visit the past, present, future. so, how about an "it's a wonderful life" one? find out how life of your family, and friends would be if you were never born?

Look up at the stars at night, then pick one out of the sky and put it into your hand and describe what it feels/looks like.
