Howdy.
For the last two or three years, I've been getting an average of 3-6 hours of sleep a night. Normally, on a school day, I go to sleep around 3:00am-4:00am, and wake up between 7:00am-8:00am. Usually it doesn't have a huge affect on me, and I'm able to function properly, although occationally I feel extremely sleepy, and have twice fallen asleep during class. I'm afraid my mental performace is being compromised by my lack of sleep, and to a lesser extent, I'm also concerned for my health. When I try for an early night, in an attempt to fix things, it only makes matters worse. Going to bed at from between 12:00am-1:00am often leaves me lying awake the whole night, or not getting to sleep till between 5am-7am. Does anyone know of any reason behind this, or anything I can do to get my circadian rhythm back to where it should be?
