      inability to breathe

      i have sometimes had a complete inability to breathe along with heavy feeling lungs in sleep paralysis, is this natural?

      Yes, it is perfectly natural, there is nothing to worry about.

      It is often described as a heavy weight on the chest.

      I have this sometimes too when I am tring to WILD and Ienter the SP part of falling asleep while still awake. Sometimes it is so bad it feels like someone is sucking the air out of my lungs. When I am not freaking out about the sensation it generly goes away in a few minutes

      i feel ya, i heard its when your airway becomes temporarily paralyzed from the chemicals that keep you from moving in sleep. you experience it whether youre concious of it or not

      Wow that is a bit freaky. I will have to try and keep that in mind next time it happens to me to help calm me down a bit.
