Coffein, and really BIG sleeps in the weekends. |
|
I have problems staying awake in school. In order to get there I need to wake up at 6:30. I usually sleep 10:30-6:30, a solid 7-8 hours. However I always feel tired during the day and I've fallen asleep in every single class at one time or another. Is there any way I can alter my sleep schedule, in order to get a more recuperative sleep while still staying within the confines of my day to day life? As a side note napping during study halls and free periods is frowned upon in my school. |

Too bad you can't have naps at school. |

I know of some cases in which sleeping too much may make you tired when you are awake. |
|
I usually sleep at least 10 hours a day on weekends. I don't usually get much out of caffeine. I've tried eating chocolate covered espresso beans but I don't feel significantly more awake, and later I just lapse back into the same exhaustion. Maybe I don't take enough. How many beans would equal a cup of coffee? |

Maybe try to exercise to give you more energy, stretch or jump. Eat a good balance breakfast. Also on lunch time try to take a quick nap if it's possible. Instead of going to sleep at 10:30pm try to go to sleep at 8:30-9:30pm. |

I've heard OVER sleeping has a negative effect and will actually make you tired. Might be true because sometimes I wake up full of energy and I decide to lay in bed for a bit (because I can) and I doze off and I wake up really tired. |
