Hi everyone,
I've read through several threads and haven't seen an answer. I have insomnia. Bad. I don't know if it is an inheritable thing but it seems like most of my family has issues with it.
Right now it's 2:46 a.m. (Pacific Time) and I won't start getting sleepy until around 3:30 a.m. Once I get to sleep I just about can't wake up when I need too which is around 9:00 a.m.
I've used all the wonder aids, Ambien, Lunestra and a variety of over the counter. It's been a long time since I've used any of those.
I've got to figure out a way to re-set my sleep clock and I have no idea. I'm fairly active during the day. I'm tired enough at night, just cannot close my eyes until at least 2 a.m. or so. It's been that way for longer than I can remember but I'd sure like to change it to something a little more normal.
Any ideas are appreciated - done all the no caffeine, exercise late, exercise early, take a warm shower, take a cool shower - just about everything. Thought maybe someone might have tried something different.
Thanks.
