      Does your metabolism change?

I know that during a normal sleep system, your metabolism slows down while you are sleeping. Does polynapping keep it high, I don't want to loose any weight, and I'm thinking about trying this for a month.

According to people who practice power napping, you get the same benefits as the first and second stage of sleeping (sinking into sleep, then relaxing muscles). I'm guessing that you'll get the effect of decreased metabolism as well, but it depends on how long you nap.

I got information from this article on power napping.

When I did uberman, my metabolism seemed to speed up quite a bit.
There's differing opinions on this though.

Also, I've been diagnosed with hypothyroidism (low metabolism) recently, but it seems to be genetic in my case - my mother has it as well as my grandmother on my father's side.
At worst, the polyphasic sleep just triggered a genetic tendency I already had.
