      Dark thoughts as I awake

Curious, many other people finding themselves in this situation?

Notice sometimes when I wake up at night/after being asleep I wake up and have some strangely dark pervasive shit running through my mind.... sometimes I have to shake myself out of it when waking up to this....

      Anyone else ever notice this?

Yeah totally! Not all the time, but maybe... 2 times in the last month. I have woken, feel a bit fearful and scared, but then have to remind myself I'm just in bed, nothing scary. Occassionally I'll look at shadows and start to see faces, but I make myself stop doing this, and just relax. It's weird!

      Ooh, their breath is warm
      And they smell like sleep
And they say they take me home
      Like poppies heavy with seed
They take me deeper and deeper

with me its more thoughts of me doing stuff, as opposed to seeing other things. I just wake up in this.... care-less half n just have to shake it off because of how dark it is.

When I awake from a sexual dream with someone I know I usually have a period of thoughts of sex with said person. I don't like it.

I think, as we over think of something may lead to dark thoughts. And also it maybe the same thing with bad dreams can lead to dark thoughts also. In my experience, I always have remnants of my bad dreams even I'm already awake.

Yes, it can happen if you had a disturbing dream, sometimes feelings of anxiety can persist a bit in the morning after a nightmare but they fade during the day, I sometimes get this even when I can't remember anything, it's an unpleasant gut feeling. But the sense of disappointment is a lot worse when I wake up after a fantastic dream only to realize it wasn't real.

the things you do before you are going to sleep affects your dreaming,
lets say you watched 2 hours long a horror movie, that movie was really scary and you are thinking about it when you sleep,
that affects your dreams, you get dark scary dreams because of that movie you watched.
so when you wake up the next day try to do nice things and don't watch movies, it really helps

Yes, last night was kind of strange... I woke up several times after very weird dreams...

The first time I woke up and I thought that my boyfriend (who was sleeping next to me) was a corpse-thing. And after 2 hours I woke again and I almost fainted when I thought that one of his arms was the arm of another one...a murderer..

WTF xD It occurs from time to time that I wake up and have strange thoughts (like a picture on the wall is a deadly rock which will kill me) but that night...was one of de weirdest EVER x3
I will have poetry in my life. And adventure. And love.

Improving my ability to remember my dreams.

I sometimes have very dark, very angry dreams, and if I'm woken from those suddenly, then I will quite often wake up in a dark, angry mood. Unfortunately, for me, this isn't uncommon.

try to shake your head, if you do so you mostly wake up from that dream.
i also use it to get out of a SP, btw; you need training with shaking your head to exit a SP.
i can do it easily because when i was younger i had almost everynight a SP.
rememberl, your actions that you do when you are awake have consequences at night
      hope this helps
