After years of monophasic sleep I've finally decided on going polyphasic. There are two sleep schedules that I am looking at, siesta and segmented. Siesta fits my week schedule exactly. I rarely get more than 7 hours of sleep, and my school schedule is timed so that I get home just in time for a nap. However, on the weekends, segmented seems much better. It is supposedly the healthiest (and default for humans) sleep schedule, and the second half of it increases lucid dreaming. I cannot do this during the week though, because it requires 7+ hours of sleep. My question is, would it be possible to do siesta in the week and segmented on the weekends? I'm not sure if I would be able to switch that quickly. |
