I'm doing a project on lucid dreaming

As a senior at my high school, I get to make a year long project about a topic of my choice. Of course, lucid dreaming was the first thing I thought of. The project is supposed to consist of researching for the next few months, some sort of experiential learning, probably late winter, and then in the spring the creation of a product that shows what I've learned. I was hoping I could get some suggestions from you guys about my project.

Firstly, are there any books/articles/sources that you would consider a must-read for learning about lucid dreaming? For the month of october I'm taking notes on LaBerge's Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming, and I think I'll end up reading more of his work later.

Second, do you have any ideas as to what I could do for experiential learning? Yes, of course I'm going to be trying to have a lucid. The only other idea I've had is some sort of internship at a sleep lab. Any other ideas?

Finally, what do you think I could make out of this? My first hope was to make a website with helpful info on lucid dreams, but DV already does this so well. Is there anything else I can create that would benefit lucid dreamers everywhere?

EWOLD is the first book that comes to mind, but you already know about that. As for experiential learning... err, could you expand on that? I'm not sure exactly what you mean. You could do some sort of experiment with eye movements in lucid dreams or external stimuli to induce lucid dreams...

Sorry, I can't really think of anything you could build. I'm assuming you don't want to go the high-tech route and do something like a novadreamer... But good luck on your project. =)

A must read that comes in mine is KISS A Guide to Lucid Dreaming I read that book when I first started getting into ld'ing. Alot of good information there.

The idea is that once we've researched our topic, we actually go out and do something related to it. A friend of mine last year was learning about wilderness survival. This would be the point where he actually goes out and survives by himself. If the topic was cross country road trips, I imagine that person would be taking a road trip. I guess it's an aspect of the project that helps you get a personal understanding of what you're doing. The process of actually trying to have an ld may be experiential enough, but they might ask me to go do something that's not as simple as me going to bed every night.

Ah, I see. Yeah... hmm, well depending on your ability level with LDing you could set a list of goals to do in LDs and complete them all, then put together a log with all the dreams you did tasks in. It would be awesome if you could get an internship in a sleep lab; if not, you could probably at least participate in a sleep study, although they may not have anything that's directly about lucid dreaming.
