puppycat's WILD guide

1. Go to sleep like normal, but have an alarm clock wake you up 5-6 hours after you go to sleep.
2. Once you wake up, get up and go to the bathroom or something. Stay up for like 5 minutes.
3. When you are ready to start, lie down in a VERY comfortable position. Avoid lying on your side.
4. Think about stuff in your head, but don’t sing songs. Don’t fall asleep.
5. After about 15-20 minutes, your body will start testing your brain by sending strong urges to move or stretch out or itch. These may feel uncomfortable, but your body isn’t really in any harm. Each urge will only last about 20-30 seconds. DO NOT MOVE! Don’t even swallow.
6. After about 20-30 minutes of testing, your body will decide that your brain must be asleep. And it will do the same. The urges will stop, but you will feel a mild burning sensation wherever the most pressure is on your body. It is best to lie on your back. Your body has made up its mind now, and it doesn’t matter if you move just a little bit. If the burning feeling gets to painful, you can roll over or shift your weight just a little bit. This feeling will last about 10 minutes.
7. This feeling means that your body is going to sleep, you will feel strange changes in your body. Sometimes it will feel like the blankets are getting sucked to your legs. Your fingers are usually the first ones to go to sleep. The last is your face and lips and tongue. Once you are about half paralyzed, it is fun to try to move your fingers a little bit. If your hand is palm up, try to push up on the blankets. If your fingers are paralyzed, it will feel like the blankets are very heavy. You might hear odd noises. When I did this, I heard a bell ringing. Some people hear very loud noises. You just have to remember that nothing you are hearing is real.
8. Once your body is one hundred percent paralyzed, all movements will be very slow. But if you HAVE to move, you still can. Just don’t move too much, or your body might wake up.
9. Your brain will start making images. At first it might be colorful blobs. This is your brain putting together your dream. After about 10 minutes of this (maybe more) you will be able to see the full dream. To “start” the dream, just start walking around and stuff. You will be as conscious are you are right now. Just don’t forget that you are dreaming, or it might turn into a regular dream.
10. Have fun! Be sure to write down your dream when you wake up.
