      hello all!

well i've been lurking here for the last few months and thought it was finally time to sign up. i made up my mind a few weeks ago that i was ready to get serious if i really wanted have lucid dreams. so now i'd say i have an above average dream recall just by saying to myself "I wake up at the end of every dream and i remember every dream completely" as i drift to sleep at night. i'm able to recall 2-3 dreams a night and i have a journal full of context dreams (unfortunately...)
ok ok my background is over with. now for the attaining lucidity question i have since your wondering why im in this section of the forum anyway heh. well last night i decided that when i woke up from a dream i would do the 61 points of relaxation, so i get to point 31 and i have this vibration wave come over my body. after it passed i continued on with the rest of the points and finished. then out of nowhere this wave returns for about 5 times with each breath i took, starting out strong then gradually getting fainter until it stops. i thought i finally reached SP, so i tried to sit up with my dream body and it turns out i wasn't in SP
i was so sure of it, but i guess there's more to it than i know. so im wondering how can you tell for sure that you've finally reached SP or maybe im just trying to leave my body in the wrong way? if anyone has any insight on this, i would be greatly thankful for your response.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

You seem to have answered your own question, but in case my answer is different - don't try to "test" the paralysis. This will usually break it, so even if you were in SP, you wouldn't know.

I've never reached a far stage of SP but everyone says that they know when they've reached the dream state.
