you should develop one pointed concentration...samatha meditation... in tibetan dream yoga this is the foundation of all other techniques... without concentration what can you achieve?... you need for strengthing the intention to have a lucid dream, focusing on the technique you use to become lucid, and staying mindfull of anything you wanna think about...when you master this technique you will be the master of your mind...start by choosing a physical object to focus on...sit up with the back straight.. head tilted slightly forward...then keep the awareness on the object...stay in sensuality of the present moment, dont not let your self be carried away in the past or the future... if you do at least 5 minutes a day everyday... everything will change!!...when you focus stay as still as possible... dont blink.. you know your making progress when strange visual phenomena appear...dont be exciting about this nor distured... as you develop concentration you will attain samadhi!!.. but you cannot skip a day .. if you skip one day... you lost everything!...you have to start all over... use this power to master lucid dreaming! |

Agreed that concentration and meditiation are the key tools to LD.. but I don't think that skipping a day has huge effect. But it IS important to stay motivated about it and not give up. Meditation will produce great changes in you over time and your mind will be very resistant to them at first. Do not be tricked by its games to make you stop. |

I doubt this works very much, although this does sound rather interseting. Maybe i'll give it a go, how long does it take before you start to see aney progress? 1 maybe 2 weeks ? |

Concentration is a great source because it leads you into a much focused mind. |

Is it too much to ask for people to spellcheck around here? At *least* proofread the title of the threads you create. |

Lucid Dreams: 2
Successful Induction attempts: too many to count, but no lucid dreams that follow
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

Woah i just tryed this sitting at my desk starring at my empty water bottle for 10 minutes straight and i felt like the room was falling forwards. then my right ball(of the eye) started to hurt so i stopped. It felt sweet though. i think i can get used to this everyday. |

I should be floating, but I'm weighted by thinking
Interesting, I'll give this a try. I'm trying to master lucid dreams so I can explore the dream world and create my own world, so thank you for posting this. <3 |

ok I did this and it was odd, like my surrondings blurred up and al I could see was the word I was focusing on. Pretty weird, can this be bad for your eyes though? Like my legs and everything I could see were all blurred and also like white and foggy. |

It was like I was in a world that stood still and only the word I was looking at exisited. It was pretty cool but a little scary even a bit. |
|
Well, I dont think its bad since its just staring fixedly at something, and we do this very often (reading, using the computer, etc.). |
|
IMO this helps a lot, although the part where you said that when you skip one day everything's lost... is wrong (for me at least). |

What Polmc said about relaxing the eyes by changing a focal point is intersting. Sorry to be a bit off topic but if I don't do that (I never feel the need to event hough my eyes seem to hurt all the time) would it affect my eyesight? I'm just a bit worried because I'm definetaly a bit short sighted and I think it's getting worse. |

Here's some research Ive done, of course Im not a doctor so if you really have any eye problems you should see one! |
