That happens when you go into REM phase. You should have relaxed and go with it. At least now you know what to do next time. And yes, the feeling of your "phantom" limbs going off in different directions is awesome. |

Last night I was trying the method of staying still for an extended period of time until your mind sends the signal to your body to change positions to see if you are awake. This method worked perfect (I Think). So after 5 minutes of my mind telling my body to move I fell into this really weird state. It felt like my arms were coming out of my body and I was lifting up. I was like sweet balls this is fun! But then after that, my heart rate went up so quickly it kinda scared me and I was like shit, this isn't safe I could have a heart attack. So I ended it and woke up because I pussed out and was scared that my heart was going to explode. Is this normal to feel when entering a lucid dream? |

I should be floating, but I'm weighted by thinking

so REM sleep will most likely not kill me? Thats good to know. Another question about rem sleep, what comes after it. just nothingness or if i imagine a dream scene will i become lucid in that dream scene? |

Na, that sort of thing happens every time that you sleep. You're just not conscious enough to experience it. I'd be really surprised if there was a case of someone dying from REM or SP. XD |

REM is where we have our most vivid dreams. For me I don't have to do anything except stay calm once I get to that heart-pounding, body lurching stage. Pretty soon it stops and a dream starts. |

But nothing happend after, no dream no HIT no nothing. just black abyss. What technigqu do you suggets for me after REM phase has past? |

Try again and report. Perhaps you were concetrating on your body too much. Even though some techniques say otherwise, sometimes you must calm down your mind aswell as your body. So try to meditate or visualise a dream scene. Perhaps you were mentally too "awake". If you are in REM phase then you should be dreaming, after REM a new sleep cycle starts. Maby you already were dreaming, but didn't notice it... Good luck next time though. Remember to relax and calm yourself mentaly while waiting for physical signs of sleep. |
