Thread: book recommendation?

Lucid dreaming bible--

Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Steven Laberge.

There's plenty of new ones out, and others that people might suggest, but EWoLD was all that I found I needed.

I need to remember to get that.

I hear you can read most (if not all) the chapters online. If that fails then you can pick it up at most libraries, or pay the really cheap fee on amazon.

I found the entire thing in PDF on Scribd. Never heard of it before, but it looks like a document library. You could probably find documents on absolutely anything on here, but I'll just link you straight to the book.

I also like the book Conscious Dreaming by Robert Moss. It's not entirely about lucid dreaming but alot of it are great dream examples and ways to use dreams to improve yourself. It's interesting how the author is against using lds for the kind of stuff thats talked about on here (killing, picking up chicks, killing, messing with dcs then killing them, more chicks, etc.) and against using using RCs, prefering a more natural way (yeah ok buddy I bet that works well lol). He claims that Laberge in EWOLD helps get away from doing useless things is LDs but thats not quite what I got out of EWOLD. It's a great read and basically gives some varying viewpoints on dreaming in general from those in EWOLD.

Most I read years ago and could not quote line nor verse.. but I get something out of every book I've read and I personally don't regret purchasing any of them.

As for learning skills once you've become lucid: watch The Matrix. The virtual reality in it is essentially the same prinicple as a lucid dream.

Of the books mentioned above I have Patricia Garfield's and Dr LaBerge's. Garfield's seems to have more of a new-agey feel to it and helped out a little, LaBerge's is very scientific and seems more like a textbook.
