Just found this account, been almost 20 years since I made it. what a trip

Such a rush of nostalgia finding out the DV forums are still somewhat active, and that my account was still around with my old password!

And man oh man, was I a cringy teenager when I made it (now I'm just a cringy adult).

Happy to say that I'm still having Lucid Dreams, even as I'm about to turn 34, and still having a blast with them. Without a doubt the most worthwhile hobby I ever got invested in

Hello, Lang. Concerning your post, perhaps this recent increase is due to the system being wonky for some, rather than any nefarious intent. For example, I created an account--I am always careful, never had issues over the last 30 years or so--I go back to log in, the system shows me as logged in *only* on the page I posted an introduction, but on any other page I am not logged in, nor will it let me log in. Twice I tried to recover the password in case it was wrong (this is a new keyboard I am getting used to, so I thought maybe I had a typo when setting the password), but the recovery seemed to go into a black hole. I didn't want to pester someone with a problem I had not fully understood, so I made another account (this one) on a more basic/standard email, one that seems to have no problems with this site, and which I seem to have no problems logging in. So, this isn't from wanting to flaunt some "rules" or be a bother, but quite the opposite of fixing an error that kept me from logging back in *without* admin help. I don't understand all the reasons some might want to create other accounts, (one for each dream personae? heh) but I assure you sometimes it can be simply from people wanting to solve a problem on their own. So if the untidiness gets you in a bunch, then please get rid of my intro and I can always post it again on this functional account. Cheers.

1. I know other websites allow it but, unfortunately, it's always been a strict rule here about Alt accounts in which can get you tempery banned or permanently banned.

Almost the same situation for me here. I'm 35 now and my last post on these forums appears to have been when I was 14. My first guess at the old password I used for everything at the time was the right one, to my surprise.

Reading the content and style of my writing at that time has made me both cringe and smile for basically a child I forgot existed.
