      False Awakening triggering nightmare

I've noticed that most false awakenings happen while i'm afraid, then i'd wake up and face something that actually scares me, and then i'd wake up again. Like seeing scary entities/experiencing the nightmares they cause happens most of the time after a false awakening for me, and even if i'm lucid it becomes a nightmare. This never happens if i'm lucid without false awakening.

This happens to me too! Keep in mind that scary things in your dream are there to send you a message from the subconscious. Nothing can injure you in a dream so try to stay calm, happy and confident and stand up to the scary things to see what message they have to offer. Once you receive it, they typically have no reason to exist anymore.

huh, well like for example before the previous false awakening I walked out of my bed and couldn't get the covers to come off, then once I did I walked downstairs to see a "old hag" which grinned and somehow "froze" me in fear causing a real wake up.

Recently however I woke up and it was night time, and some invisible force pulled me up backwards and up into a mirror and I couldn't yell or anything, and when I did I was actually awake. Seems that's how these end half the time, with something putting me in an in-dream sleep paralysis and scaring me just to wake up.

You just have to use will power to counteract the invisible forces and the feelings of paralysis, just like when you got your covers off. Tell yourself "this is MY dream and I'm going to get what I want" and fight to achieve it. Know that the dream is all "you" and use that to your advantage.
