This was a heck of a nightmare at the end, but the whole dream was pretty creepy. I had it just last night, and it was very vivid.
So here's how it goes...
I'm starting college soon, so in my dream I was starting college. I met a bunch of new people, but I also met a guy that seemed really nice and attractive. I didn't talk to him much, much I was attracted to this new guy in my dream. So, I go off to whatever classes I have, and the dream changes to when I'm leaving school; which I guess, in a way, was just this short day at school that day.
So I go home, go to sleep, and when I wake up I'm in that guy's body whom I was interested in. So all this random stuff happens where I go to college in his body, but it's not clear what I was doing. In a way, I think I imagined myself as a guy pretty much in this dream for a good while.. I wasn't 100% comfortable with it, especially at one point. It was like I had no control over the body either, even though I could still control my walking and movements.
Anyways, after that, I end up finding a mirror. Pushing some lucid dreaming techniques, I forced myself to look in the mirror even though the dream didn't want me to. What was weird was seeing the guys face with my own long, wavy hair. The guy had short hair, but somehow the mirror showed my own hair, which was the same color as my real hair.
It looked really weird, so I gave a weird face, and I saw that in the mirror too. I ask myself "what the heck am I doing?", so I switched my dream letting my body turn back to normal.
So now I'm in a car with my mother driving somewhere in the afternoon. It's clear night out, probably pre-autumn. It seemed to be Halloween that day, but the leaves were still mostly green from what I could tell. We park in a big area with lots of buildings. There was an interesting park I found there too, which was interesting. There were some other things happening that I can't fully recall. The park had black stones, flat and round, which where engraved with roman numerals. The grassy part sloped down to a moat/creek that passed under/through the nearby stone brick building. The roman numeral stones were spread all across the small courtyard on the slopes/hills. It was so beautiful, but the stones felt very symbolic somehow. They were out of order, scattered, and I had a sense of time being represented somehow as the numbers were ranged 1 to 12.
In another venue, people were role-playing princesses and knights as a medieval-themed event of some sort. They were not in costumes, but just a casual gathering of regular people. I became part of it where I was a princess. It was unlike me, but everyone was playing along for some sort of prize that was undetermined.
It got late eventually, and we all headed to a building which seemed like a small activity center. This is where it started to get a bit scary, because somehow the competition turned weird. We had to create monsters and creatures from shadows, and somehow everyone was creating black creatures in this dim building.
They sort of looked like this:

Anyways, the monsters then started to attack us, which I was not surprised about since I was shocked about the whole idea at the start. Then that part of the dream stops, and switches back to when I'm heading there in the car. This time with a different group of people, and there were no familiar faces this time. It was also snowing, and the streets were covered in snow too (plowed of course). The dream repeats the same manner in this wintery setting, in coats and jackets, but slightly different as I have been through the dream before.
The stones were also hidden by the snow and ice. When it got to the part where they created creatures again, I was even more fearful because I was on my own with complete strangers. I warned them not to do so, or bad things will happen. It was the same group as before, except they acted as if they were doing this for the first time. They all didn't believe me and went ahead. The shadow creatures were bigger this time too, and this time I woke up before anything else happened.
I was so frightened at that moment, I don't think my lucid dreaming could have saved me as I was petrified of that nightmare.
I never faced a nightmare that actually scared me, but I had a heightened sense about the whole dream having some sort of personal meaning/connection to me somehow.
