Need Android alarm/timer app that can turn itself off

I could really use an app for Android smartphones that has an alarm or timer that can be set to vibrate but it must have a way to set it to turn itself off after 5 seconds or less. I plan on using it as a reality check reminder and lucidity trigger. Do you know of such an app, preferably free?

Try "sleep check reminder". It's free.

Gentle Alarm is by far the best but it costs money for the pro version, IMO its worth it though.

You can make as many alarms as you want, control how long they last, what ringtones you want to use for each one, and even use the "fade" option which introduces the alarm progressively rather then suddenly while controlling how long you want the alarm to fade in.

For example my LD alarm is as follows:

      Alarm rings @ 4:00 AM
      Alarm Length - 30 Seconds
      Alarm volume - 80%
Fade in volume from - 0%
Fade in Length - 15 seconds to reach 80% volume

I use Alarm Clock Plus, it's free and has an auto-snooze, auto-dismiss and gentle awakening.

The best reason for having dreams is that in dreams no reasons are necessary.

No sailor controls the sea. Only a foolish sailor would say such a thing. Similarly, no lucid dreamer controls the dream.
Like a sailor on the sea, we lucid dreamers direct our perceptual awareness within the larger state of dreaming.
