This is my first post on DV - fascinating site!
I have been interested in LD for many years but thought it was only really a sleep lab phenomenon. Then I stumbled across the Android Lucid Dreaming App and that has grabbed my interest.
Has anyone had any success with this app?
Although I have not had an LD yet, one interesting by-productof the app is that after a week of using it to try and wake me using its notify system (a combination of sound recordings, vibrate and flash) I am now waking up at about the same time each night - 2:30 a.m. - without any assistance from the app.
I guess this might mean that I am more aware of my waking after REM? Would that be right?
I've tried WBTB but am not dong very well! I just seem to stay awake for ages.
It's quite possible that I am having sleep episodes, or maybe even false awakenings, but I definitely remember the chimes of our clock at 3 and 4 a.m..
I'm so new to this that I haven't really got jounals, mantras, RC etc. sorted - a lot to get your head round initially!
I did have what felt like a very brief LD the other night that was probably only 1 second long - a brief flash where a scene seemed to crystallise like reality.
I do struggle with that balance between relaxing and waiting for the onset of an SP. I think I am too tense and so it doesn't seem to be happening.
I've only been doing this for a couple of weeks, so not expecting too much yet, but any advice greatfully received!
