Post LD Aids and Me Experiment

So... I just got done ordering some LD aids... they will be here in 1-2 weeks.

For about $250.00 I got 3-12 month supplies of the following: Calea Zacatechichi, Mugwort, Silene Capsensis, Choline, B6, Fish Oil, Galantamine, Arginine, Ornithine, Phenylalanine, Melatonin, Valerian, 5-HTP, Skullcap, Solary Lobelia, and Huperzine.

I estimate it will be about $50.00 a month for everything listed above. Well worth it, if they work as well as they should.

CANNOT WAIT to get them. Once all of them arrive, I'm going to take a dose of each before I go to bed, and try and WILD straight from full wakefulness.

My plan is to post my results here after my first night with all of them. And then update periodically from then on out.

But before I post my results, I should say what sort of LD experiences I already have.

I have had 10 LD's since I first attempted one about 20 days ago. They have ranged from 3 seconds long, to 5 hours long. Some are WBTB, some are DEILD, some MILD, and some DILD. Have yet to have a WILD though. I'd say I most commonly DILD, and do so for about an hour and a half on average. I have EXCELLENT LD recall, and vividness that mimics real life. I also have COMPLETE dream control (I can do anything I can imagine; period).

What I hope to get from all of these LD aids is this: At least one LD a day, each with a rather long length, and full recall.

We shall see what happens soon.

      Questions? Comments? Fire away!

      Until we meet again... peace!

I've been in the same boat: on several occasions I've ordered a bunch of dream herbs, but only ended up using them a handful of times with no results. The boxes are still collecting dust under my bed...

What ones? Quite a few of these take a while to get in your system.

The last of the LD aids arrived today. Tonight will be my first attempt taking them all. I've already started taking what ones arrived, as they arrived, and I've seen a big increase in dream vividness and recall, but the same ammount of LD's. Hopefully with these last ones to arrive (Galantamine being one of them) I will start having more LD's.

Also ended up buying some Yohimbe Bark, Ginger, and Hops on top of the other things already mentioned. I'll post again tomorrow morning with the results of night one... I've already had a successful WILD straight from wakefulness, and it wasn't worth it... lasted just as long as any other technique, with the same vividness, etc, so my technique tonight--and for the length of this entire experiment--will simply be WBTB.

Also, to date, I now have 14 LD's... an even ammount of regular dreams and LD's since I started making a DJ less than a month ago.

      See you tomorrow!

I hope you don't mean this literally! Some of them are redundant - for instance, melatonin and 5-HTP do essentially the same thing, and you shouldn't take them both in the same night. Also, Galantamine shouldn't be taken before you go to bed, but after several hour of sleep. Taking 5-HTP and Galantamine at the same time would be entirely counterproductive, as the 5-HTP has the effect of suppressing dreams for several hours. It's meant to be taken at bedtime, then you wake up in4 hours or so and take the Galantamine after the 5-HTP has worn off, thus inducing REM rebound.

Look up Thomas Yuschak's book Advanced Lucid Dreaming; the Power of Supplements. He gives the info on how each supplement works and how they function when used together. It's not a good idea at all to experiment with them without this knowledge. If you google you can find a PDF version of the book online, but I recommend getting a hardcopy even if you do read the PDF (that's how I did it). You'll want to do a lot of marking various pages to check again and again.

Bon appétit! Have you had a strong Calea tea and smoke yet?

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to find that book and read it, and then adjust what ones I take from there. I was afraid something like this might happen, but I couldn't find a reliable source for information.

I have begun to smoke the Calea, yes... it was one of the first things that arrived. I noticed an increase of dream vividness from that alone.

Pro tip: make a strong tea, add some sugar (not that it helps), let it cool off and drink it as quick as you can. I believe that the effects from smoking wear off too quickly - when ingested they last up to 12 hours. You may also want to abstain from it for at least a week between attempts.

NIGHT ONE (Unorganized aids): Apparently, some of my lucid aids clash, and cancel each other out, so I'll be reading Advanced Lucid Dreaming: The Power Of Supplements by Thomas Yuschak to get more information... last night I just took all the aids anyway. I didn't get a chance to WBTB last night, as I could sleep. I ended up taking a nap about an hour ago (9 hours after I had planned on falling asleep), and I ended up having a dream, within a dream, within a lucid dream, within a dream... confusing, yes... awesome? Yes. The LD aspect lasted about an hour, and was incredibly vivid and complex. And the dream went along with the LD, so it was almost as if I was LD'ing the whole time (which would be about 3 hours total in that case). I remembered everything VERY well too. I'd say good results for night one. But due to some information that has presented itself, I am going to be making my next update night one on a different supplement routine that I will explain more at that date.

I'll be updating more than likely in a couple more days here... and I'll let you know what all I changed. Until then.........

I've tried Silene capensis, calea zacatechichi, vervain? (native american equivalent to calea zacatechichi), various smoking blends, different brands of galantamine, choline, DMAE, 5-HTP, valerian, melatonin, multiple B vitamin supplements and multiple "brain enhancers", the latest one of which is "Focus Smart" from CVS. All this stuff I ordered for it's "dream enhancing" properties.

Of these, only Melatonin + vitamin B6 was able to produce a consistent effect on dream vividness and clarity. Everything else is (imo) that I tried produces just the opposite effect on dream clarity and cognition for me - makes dreams harder to recall.

One thing that you may remember is that all of these "traditional" herbs were given to laymen once in a blue moon by a person of authority (ex: a shaman). This is a powerful combination of placebo with the authority influence. Maybe those things work, but work just once by introducing a change in body chemistry, which results in clear, prophetic dreams. I don't know about using them every single night.
